Clinical Advisory Working Group
Develops innovative approaches to clinician education, supervision, competency development, and workforce development that strengthen the delivery of high-quality exposure therapy.
Mission & Purpose
The Clinical Advisory Working Group ensures that the perspectives of clinicians, supervisors, clinic directors, and health system leaders remain central to the development, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of ETC initiatives. By integrating expertise from frontline providers and organizational leaders across participating sites and the broader ETC network, the Working Group helps ensure that ETC activities are clinically relevant, feasible, sustainable, and responsive to the realities of routine practice.
The Working Group promotes meaningful collaboration among clinicians, researchers, educators, patients, and health system partners to strengthen the quality, implementation, and long-term impact of ETC initiatives.
Goals

Ensure clinical perspectives inform ETC clinical initiatives
Incorporate the expertise of clinicians, supervisors, clinic directors, and health system partners throughout the planning, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of ETC initiatives.

Promote clinically feasible and sustainable practices
Provide guidance that enhances the relevance, feasibility, scalability, and sustainability of educational resources, implementation strategies, communication initiatives, and other ETC activities across diverse clinical settings.

Strengthen partnerships between researchers and clinical stakeholders
Foster meaningful collaboration among researchers, clinicians, supervisors, clinic directors, and health system leaders to identify priorities, address implementation challenges, and facilitate the translation of innovation into routine clinical practice.

Providing consultation and clinical perspectives across ETC initiatives.
Identifying barriers and facilitators that influence the adoption, implementation, and sustainability of exposure therapy in routine clinical settings.
Identifying emerging clinical priorities that may inform future ETC clinical initiatives and strategic planning.
Advising on intervention delivery, implementation strategies, workflow integration, and operational feasibility.
Providing consultation and clinical perspectives across ETC initiatives.
Contributing to the interpretation of findings and the development of resources designed for practicing clinicians and healthcare organizations.
