Patient Advisory Working Group
Provides patient perspectives that help ensure ETC clinical initiatives remain patient-centered, meaningful, and responsive to the needs of individuals with lived experience.
Mission & Purpose
The Patient Advisory Working Group ensures that the perspectives of individuals with lived experience remain central to the development, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of ETC initiatives. Comprised of individuals who have received exposure therapy, as well as those considering treatment, the Working Group provides ongoing guidance to help ensure that ETC activities are relevant, acceptable, feasible, and responsive to patient priorities.
By integrating patient perspectives throughout the lifecycle of clinical initiatives, the Working Group strengthens the quality, impact, and real-world relevance of the ETC while promoting meaningful partnerships between patients, clinicians, researchers, educators, and other stakeholders.
